Jesus, again, emphasises the importance of listening to His Word and He uses Mary’s example as a model for us.

Following Jesus may well cost us in terms of career, income and respect. 

Like Jesus, our obedience to God may well earn our rejection or disrespect.

We are all tempted to pursue false greatness and we must learn to pursue sacrificial service -modelled on the glory of the cross -  which is

God wants to amaze us as He reveals Jesus’ glory to us so as to inspire us to listen and obey Him. 

Time in private leads to greater revelation of Jesus, and then to greater sacrificial devotion to Jesus.

Whatever Jesus has done for us is testimony to be shared. 

We wage war on dark powers, and they attack us throughout this age. So we are to be aware and fight with His methods.
