From Luke 19:1-7, let’s reflect on Zacchaeus; he ‘wanted to see Jesus’; however, the deeper truth is that Jesus was seeking him.

Jesus wants to lead others to praise God, and this is often achieved by what He’s doing in and through us. 

We need the Spirit in order to understand - to 'see' - spiritual things.

Only God, through Christ, grants cleansing and new birth, leading to a new life. 

Today, we contemplate the nature of the light Jesus provides us, as seen in Isaiah 9:1-2 and its fulfillment in Matthew 4:12-17.  

From Luke 14:34, we reflect on how true Christians have 'ears to hear' Jesus.

The Church is a family that's been born of God.

Today, we briefly reflect on how our salvation is the good work of God that He is entirely responsible for beginning in us. 

Today, we reflect on how our attitude and relationships are to be reformed by Jesus’ resurrection life in us. 

Carrying on from yesterday’s devotional, I wanted to think a little more about our ministry of being witnesses to the light. 

All life flows from God, and all forms of life - spiritual and natural - speak of the existence and nature of God.
