When the Spirit is at work in a person or church, news about Jesus spreads everywhere.

We must resist the temptation to test God - to base our worship and trust on how well God is meeting our expectations.

We must resist the temptation to give false worship for a fake victory.

We must resist the temptation to believe that we can live on bread alone rather than on God’s word.

Jesus’ temptation in the desert reveals the spiritual battle we are in.

A heart that is prepared, repents of sin and receives forgiveness, which is symbolised in baptism.

Like Jesus, let’s spend time in our Father’s house to learn and commune.

Let’s learn from the prophetess Anna to worship and pray no matter our challenges.

Learn and recall what God has done in the past as inspiration for worship.

The Holy Spirit’s filling results in praise and joy and overflows in the encouragement of others.
