From Ephesians 2:4-7, we reflect on how God has made us alive with Christ.

What is meant by the ‘sinful nature’ or ‘flesh’ that so dominated us before becoming a Christian, and that also seeks to influence us after we come to Jesus?

The church - Jesus’ body - is ‘the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.’

The Holy Spirit wants to reveal to us the supreme rule of Jesus so as to trust Him absolutely.  

God wants us to know, rejoice and trust in His resurrection power - a power that is already at work in those who believe.

Prayer imparts spiritual vision so as to believe for and rejoice in our future hope. 

Do we understand that persistence - to ‘keep asking’ - is vital if we are to see more of the work of God? 

We are called to faithfully give thanks and pray into the work that God is doing. 

The Holy Spirit Himself is God’s seal and guarantee that we belong to Him eternally. 

The wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives leads us into an understanding of the mystery of God’s will. 

What does it mean to be ‘in Christ and why is it only ‘in Christ’ that we can be saved and have the spiritual blessings that are available?

This week, we are looking at Ephesians 1:1-3. Today, we ask: what does it mean to have every spiritual blessing?

In Christ, we are united with our brothers and sisters to become a holy temple where His Spirit dwells.

The Spirit leads us to speak about and bring people to Jesus, who then go on to share Him with others. This is how movements of the gospel begin.

Evangelism means helping people to know both the gift of God and the gift-giver, and, so, let’s bring Him wisely into our conversations.

God has divine appointments for us - opportunities to help others see who He is.

God is already at work in people, and, if we are ready and willing, He wants to work through us to bring them to the gospel.

Partnering with others who carry different gifts opens the door for the Holy Spirit to work more powerfully and fruitfully among us.

Today, from the life of Philip, let’s learn how to share the gospel with power. 

In Acts six, we see that Philip was qualified to serve God’s church as one full of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, and faith.
