The humble know that they need the influence of a godly community in order to remain faithful.

Both true and false teaching about the resurrection will radically change every day of our lives.

If we’ve received this gospel, we are commissioned to pass it on in the various relationships that God has given us.

The gospel is the message of what Jesus has done to save us.

Reminding ourselves of the gospel and studying it is to be a priority for us every day and the priority of every church meeting.

The gospel message is to be firmly retained against the assaults of the world, the flesh and the devil.

Tongues is most often used in private prayer. The public use of tongues is to be interpreted so that others are built up.

To receive the gift of tongues, ask for someone to pray with you and ‘step out’ - start speaking - in faith.

Everyone can have the gift of tongues but not everyone will receive this gift and its interpretation in a public meeting.

‘If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.’

Prophetic revelation comes in many ways such as dreams, visions, impressions on the mind, compelling scripture…

Anyone can operate in the gift of prophecy according to the measure that God wants to use them.

Summary: Prophecy grows the church in every way.

Prophecy is telling something that God has spontaneously brought to mind which brings strength, courage and comfort.

The gift of prophecy is promised in the Bible and so we should expect this gift to be in operation in our churches.

Love is greater than faith and hope in that it builds God’s vision of community, and keeps faith and hope from being self-serving.

Love (sacrificial service for others) or selfishness (serving ourselves at the expense of others) is a choice we will always have to make.

Incredibly, we are told that ‘then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.’ We shall know God fully!

We need support. We need nurturing. We need the body of Christ. Gifts are for the immature - that’s all of us!

We are told that ‘when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.’ What is ‘completeness’?
