Welcome to 'COME TO JESUS DAILY'...
...this blog is designed to help you to develop a deeper relationship with God.
Each of the blogs (mainly based upon teaching at Community Church Putney) contains a number of elements:
1. Daily devotionals, closely based upon the text of the bible.
2. A small group/family study which is a summary of what has been covered during the week.
Our vision at CCP (Community Church Putney) is,
'BRINGING PEOPLE TO JESUS: Myself, One-another, Non-believers'
The most vital aspect of this is to bring 'myself' to Jesus - to come to Him for salvation, but then to keep coming to Him each day.
Our vision for the Christian life is based upon 2 texts of the bible, which offer huge promise for individuals (or churches) that will 'come to Jesu daily'.
'On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” (John 7:37-38)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt.11:28-30)
Bringing people to Jesus is to share in God’s greatest ambition. This is a vision with eternal worth that invites us to give our lives for the worlds’ greatest need.
